We are a firm of Licensed Insolvency Practitioners founded in 2006 by our principal practitioner, who has over thirty-five years’ experience of helping the owners of troubled businesses operated by sole traders, partnerships or limited companies. Based in Stourbridge, in the West Midlands, we take on insolvency assignments throughout England & Wales.
Our main skill is the ability to identify the core reasons for whatever has gone wrong with a business and to devise and implement appropriate and often, innovative solutions. More often than not, those solutions will involve putting the business through some form of formal insolvency process, although that is not always the case.
We have dealt with assignments within most business sectors, including among others, construction, engineering, entertainment, leisure and professional practices.
Many business owners we deal with are not accustomed to the pressures an under-performing business creates and we always set out to ensure that they understand fully what is happening and more importantly, what is likely to happen in the event that various alternative strategies are pursued. In particular, we highlight the risks they are running and the consequences they could be faced with. We do not believe that anyone can make an informed decision unless they are fully aware of all of the facts.
We do not employ targeted sales people to bring in business, but simply rely on our reputation, empathy and straight talking. We always listen to what the business owners’ objective are and explain fully the extent to which those objectives can be met. Inevitably if a business is in an insolvency position, there will be a number of compromises which the owners will need to face and we are always “up front” about those.
An initial consultation to discuss any problem is always free and that will involve a face-to-face meeting with a licensed insolvency practitioner, or a very experienced case manager. During that consultation, we will outline the options available, the possible consequences and provide an indication of the likely costs to be incurred. You will then be able to make an informed decision as to which option you wish to pursue. You will not be pressurised into following any particular course of action or any at all. We simply advise and you decide.
A business insolvency is never a comfortable situation and there will always be an element of pain. We simply do what we can to relieve that pain as much as it possibly can be.
